Our Story
Emily and Lexie met in a freezing cold hotel conference room in Universal City, California while attending another coach’s event. It only took one conversation to ignite what would quickly turn into a friendship and now, an official business partnership!
Ready Set Coach the brand was born in 2020 and has evolved into a thriving community of extraordinary coaches seeking out networking opportunities, growth, and authentic community.
Emily Merrell
Emily Merrell is the Founder and Community Curator of Second Degrees Society, a Professional Speaker and Podcast host. She has supported thousands of ambitious women to get what they want in their personal and professional lives. SDS members often achieve their first paying clients, land a new job and a mentor by utilizing Emily’s expert knowledge shared through signature connection events, sold out masterminds and 1:1 coaching. Emily’s expertise has been applauded and featured by Refinery29, Girlboss, Forbes and Huffington Post. She is based in San Francisco and in her spare time you can find her adventuring to wine country, running with her husband or planning her next taco night.
Lexie Smith
Featured in outlets such as Entrepreneur, Business Insider, NASDAQ, Create & Cultivate, and more, Lexie Smith is a PR & Business Coach, Host of the Pitchin’ and Sippin’ Podcast, Co-Founder of Ready Set Coach, Founder of THEPRBAR inc., and the Founder and CEO of GROWTH MODE Agency – a Personal Brand Agency. Over her 15+ year career, Lexie has held senior and executive roles at PR agencies, built and led in-house PR and marketing departments, and served as VP at one of Inc. Magazine and Financial Times’ ‘Fastest Growing Companies in America.’ Her expertise has been sought after by global organizations, and she has spoken at conferences and universities worldwide, coaching hundreds of entrepreneurs and executives on leveraging PR and thought leadership for impact.
